The Price of Freedom
I am a Battle Captain for an Attack Helicopter Battalion in the First Cavalry Division, currently deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I am an AH-64D Longbow Apache helicopter pilot and a veteran of OIF II. I have a very amazing son, David, who I miss very much and think about every day. I plan on getting out of the military as soon as I am able to go work for my dad in Florida. I hope to start a nice little business of my own someday!

Davids 1st Birthday

Today is David's first birthday. It has been an amazing year that has flown by. David is walking and talking (ok, one or two words but still). David has been a wonderful baby and we know he will be a great toddler. Thank you all for all your support and gifts. David is a lucky child to have so much love spread across the country. We had a small get together yesterday with some friends here. He "opened" presents, ate cake, played with other kids, and made a mess of the house! We can't believe we have a toddler now!

And, after a while, David decided that his new presents were a little too stimulating so he went back to his trusty 'ol puzzle.

Hats, Hats, Hats

So today, David came out of his room, holding his adorable hat that his grandparents sent from Yellowstone. It is a bear hat. So I put the hat on his head and he promptly took it off. But, then he discovered how to put it back on. so we spent 20 minutes putting the hat on and taking it off. Over and over and over again. So, here are a few pictures showing off his new talent.
